- What's different about hosting videos on Vimeo?
- Videos hosted on Vimeo can stream up to 4K Ultra HD so your viewers see your videos in the highest quality and unlike other platforms, we never put ads before, during, or after your videos - even on our Free plan.
- Will viewers see third-party ads on my videos?
- Absolutely not. Your work will never be tarnished by in-video ads. That’s right — no pre-roll, post-roll, or overlays. On Vimeo, you can present your work in exactly the way you want.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes, all our plans are risk-free. You’ll get a full refund if you decide to cancel anytime within the first 14 days of an annual subscription, or within the first 3 days of a monthly subscription. If you no longer need the added benefits of your current plan, you can downgrade to another plan.
- What are AI credits?
- AI credits are a flexible way to purchase AI translation features as needed. See this help center article for more information.
- How do I buy AI credits?
- In the video settings page, you can access AI translations either by selecting Languages from the left side panel or going through the AI icon on the bottom right. After you go through the flow to translate the subtitles of your video, you will be prompted to purchase the relevant amount of credits for that translation. All Vimeo plans come with the ability to try AI features for free.
- Is there a video limit?
- There are no limitations on the number of videos you can create, upload, and host in your account. Users are only limited on how much they can upload based on storage, measured in gigabytes (GB).
- What happens if I go over my storage limit?
- Should you hit your storage limit, you can upgrade your plan. Members of these plans get tons more storage, in addition to advanced customization and powerful marketing and analytics tools, than Free members.
- Do team members share the storage limit?
- Yes. Your plan includes an allowance for uploading and creating videos that are shared with all your team members. The storage allowance is at your account level which allows paid users on your account to upload or create videos up to the account limit.
- Is the Free plan just a free trial?
- Nope. The Free plan is perfect for individuals who want to join our amazing community, but who might not be uploading tons of videos each week. If that sounds like you, you might never pay a dime for Vimeo. Businesses and Creators often upgrade their plan because they find they want to store more videos, customize their player, have more privacy options, or access more marketing tools.
- Do you have duration or file-size restrictions?
- There is a size limit of 300GB gigabytes and a duration limit of 24 Hours per video file, regardless of plan.
- Can I stream live events with Vimeo?
- Yes! In order to live stream, you’ll need an Advanced or Enterprise plan. Our live streaming product was built as a high-quality solution for professionals and includes a whole suite of live streaming tools for your events. In addition to live streaming features, the Advanced plan includes all the video hosting and marketing features you need to power your workflow from video and event creation, to team collaboration, to customer engagement, to analytics, and beyond.
- Do Vimeo's self-serve plans have a bandwidth limit?
- Bandwidth is the data used in order to deliver your videos to viewers. We’ve set the bandwidth limit on our self-serve accounts to 2 TB (2,000 GB) per month. We’ve set the limit so that 99% of our users will never reach it. You can always track your bandwidth usage within your account, and if you do end up reaching that monthly limit you will receive notifications asking you to lower your bandwidth consumption or discuss a more suitable plan with our sales team. If you already know that your bandwidth usage is likely to be unusually high please get in touch to discuss options. Note: This limit applies to all jointly controlled accounts, therefore opening multiple accounts does not increase your bandwidth limit.
- What are the different types of seats or users I can have on my plan?
- Each plan includes one seat/user, which is the Owner and has the highest level of permissions to manage content, update billing information or manage team members. Owners can buy additional seats for either Admin or Contributor user types. Both Admins and Contributors can upload and create videos. Admins can also invite additional team members to the account. Viewers have the lowest level of permissions and can only view and comment on videos but can be added to the team account for free.
