Four months ago, we set out to make Vimeo a more valuable platform for you. 50 improvements and 100 bug fixes later, here are all the changes you can now benefit from.

Vimeo is up to 1.7x faster*

Uploading a video: 25% faster*

Videos uploading used to queue in single file. Now, they process simultaneously, and each one appears in your library as soon as it's ready.

Loading the homepage: 41% faster*

Previously, Vimeo loaded everything on a page at once, regardless of importance. Now, the content you came to see loads first, everything else runs after.

Searching in a folder: 23% faster*

For large libraries, the old search was scanning everything on every query. So we rebuilt it to pull from a smaller, purpose-built database instead. That means you get better results, faster.

Taken together: Vimeo is now up to 1.7x faster across the board.* And this is only the beginning—expect Vimeo to get even faster soon.

Your profile page, rebuilt from scratch

You control your videos’ order

Previously, a new upload wouldn’t follow your sort order and you'd have to manually fix it. Now, uploads slot in automatically.

More of your work gets seen

We changed the grid from 2 videos per row to 3 to show more of your work on first load. You also have looping thumbnails so people can get a quick preview.

Simple, high-impact customization

Dark mode for viewers. Smoother section management. Make powerful changes to your profile, without design expertise.

A refreshed design

Cleaner layout, refreshed typography, and visual hierarchy that keeps your videos front and center.

A faster Library experience

Smart video uploading

Drag and drop a new video onto your homepage—or directly into a library folder. While it's uploading, you can start adjusting settings. And see its file size. And reach its management page directly. (It also uploads faster).

New privacy options

Overlays on video thumbnails now show you their privacy at a glance. Click the overlay to edit privacy directly, without opening the video page.

For Enterprise users, we also added an ‘Anyone at my company’ privacy setting, for easy internal sharing.

Simplified Showcase management

Add content in fewer steps

Add videos to a showcase straight from the ••• menu, like adding them to a folder. Turn a whole folder into a showcase with one click.

Duplicate and search

Duplicate any showcase from the ••• menu for easier iterations. Search for a specific showcase directly—no need to scroll your showcases every time.

Translate faster, in more languages

From 7 languages to 99

Previously, you had auto-captions for 7 languages. For translation, you had 37. You now have 99 for both.

Translate in bulk

Translation used to be video by video. Now you can bulk select videos—or use the Translate folder option—to translate whole libraries in one go.

100 bug fixes across Vimeo

Alongside all these improvements, we've quietly fixed more than 100 bugs across all the parts of Vimeo you use most.

It's not the most glamorous part, but above any new feature, creating a smooth, reliable platform for you is always our number one priority.
